On 30th November 1967 the British withdrew from Aden after 128 years. It was in effect a fighting withdrawal with passions inflamed by the Arab-Israeli Six Day War, five months earlier. The Army Air Corps was involved in almost every aspect of operations outside Aden Town, flying by 1966 the Scout, Beaver and Sioux, either in AAC Flights or Air Troops and Platoons. Robin Grist, who was a line pilot in 8 Flight AAC, will describe his experiences and the lessons he learnt under Major Greville Edgecombe. Lecture first shown on Monday 24th August 2020 followed by a live Q&A.
