Hear former Army Air Corps pilot, Tom Macklin, highlight the circumstances that led to two significantly different cultures, former adversaries from the Cold War, sharing a cockpit and getting to know each other as a result of essential aircraft modernisation.
Imagine; one of them had grown up with, studied, and witnessed the technological and operational developments in helicopter aviation over the previous 35 years, whereas the other was plucked from their weary 1960s aircraft, and dropped into the most modern of 21st Century helicopters, the AW139.
Both cultures sharing that cockpit had a lot to learn.
