Do you have accessible toilets?

Accessible toilets are available in both the reception area and Hayward Hall.

Do you have toilets?

Toilets are located in the reception area and the Hayward Hall.  For visitors to the café or play area, toilets can be found on the ground floor by the external rear entrance.

Do you have baby changing facilities?

Baby changing facilities are available in the reception area and the Hayward Hall. There is an additional baby changing table on the ground floor by the external rear entrance.

Do you have a café?

Our Apache Café offers a range of drinks, snacks, ice cream and light meals and overlooks the airfield.  There is indoor and outdoor seating available.  Please visit the café page for more information.

When is the café open?

The café is open daily from 9am-3.30pm excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day - please check the website for other closure dates.  Hot food is served until 2.30pm.

Can I bring my own food?

You are welcome to bring a picnic, and we have lots of outdoor picnic tables for you to use.  In inclement weather, we will endeavour to provide indoor space for picnics.

Can I bring my dog?

To protect our collection, dogs are not allowed inside the Museum with the exception of Assistance dogs. Dogs are welcome on the café balcony and in the grounds of the Museum.

Do you have a shop?

Our shop can be found as you enter the Museum and offers a great range of gift items, books, clothing and toys.  Visit our online shop to see our range of products, or if you are unable to visit in person.

Do you have a play area?

We have an outdoor play area which can be accessed without entry to the Museum.  We also have an indoor soft play area.

How do I access information from your archive/collection?

The Archives are all kept within the Museum building and research enquiries and visits of all types are welcomed.  Prior notice of a visit is essential so that a date/time for visiting can be agreed and the required material obtained in advance of arrival. Click HERE for more information.

Unfortunately, getting to the Museum is difficult via public transport, although there is a limited bus service available.

We have a large car park and overflow parking on the Museum field.  We have six accessible parking bays by the Museum’s front entrance.  Find out more by visiting our accessibility page.

Do I need to book?

We recommend that you book your visit in advance.  Ticket prices are cheaper online and enable you to avoid queues at busy times.  Click HERE to book.

Do you offer military discounts?

We offer free entry to MOD90 holders and Veterans with a HM Forces Veteran card.  We also offer free entry to AAC families. Click HERE to book.

What is the annual pass?

All tickets qualify for a free annual pass for the Museum which can be used at any time to return within a 12-month period, excluding special events.

What special events do you have?
