Never Such Innocence (NSI) is a UK-based charity that gives children and young people around the world a voice on conflict using the creative arts. They invite children aged 8-14 year olds to express how conflict has shaped their lives and communities through a FREE poetry workshop from 10am – 12pm at the Army Flying Museum.
NSI is lucky to work with a talented group of creative practitioners who introduce young people to new techniques, lead discussions and inspire creative responses. Clive Sanders is the charity's Poet in Residence. As well as being a celebrated poet, Clive is an Army veteran with a wealth of stories and experience. Over the last decade he has worked with thousands of young people across the UK.
The itinerary for this free poetry workshop is as follows:
10am – The workshop begins with a 45 minute tour of the Museum highlighting various stories to help inspire the children with their poetry writing.
10.45am – A quick drink and snack break provided by the Museum for the children in the Conference room.
