Book signing with author, Tam Macklin:

Turkmenistan, Where On Earth Is That?

10am -2pm Saturday 1st November

We're looking forward to welcoming former Army Air Corps pilot and author, Tam Macklin to the Museum on Saturday 1st November to sign copies of his book:

Turkmenistan, Where On Earth Is That?

'A story about an ex-British soldier, living and working in a former Soviet State. Highlighting the circumstances that led to two significantly different cultures, former adversaries from the Cold War, sharing a cockpit and getting to know each other as a result of essential aircraft modernisation. However, one of them had grown up with, studied, and witnessed the technological and operational developments in helicopter aviation over the previous 35 years. The other, plucked from their weary 1960s aircraft, and dropped into the most modern of 21st Century helicopters. Both cultures sharing the cockpit had a lot to learn.'

Come along between between 10:00 and 14:00 to meet Tam and find out more. You'll be able to buy a copy of Tam's book and get it signed by the author himself.

This event is included with normal admission, but pre-booking your visit is recommended.
