Join us every weekday from 10:00am–12:30pm for fun flight-themed crafts and hands-on activities.
Each week explores a different chapter in aviation history:
Gliders: 10th – 14th August
Helicopters: 17th – 21st August
Drones: 24th – 28th August
Throughout the summer holidays, families can discover our remarkable collection of more than 35 historic aircraft while enjoying special workshops, creative challenges, and an interactive Time Travel Trail through our hangars. Discover the dates of some of the Museum’s fascinating objects. Find them all to collect your sticker!
Uncover the Museum’s hidden animal connections. As you explore, solve the clues to find five different animals. Each one reveals a letter, collect all five, unscramble the mystery word and claim your reward.
Model Making & Painting Session
10am – 3pm Tuesday 18th August and Sunday 23rd August
Come along to make and paint your very own model to take home with you under expert guidance from Models for Heroes. There is no additional charge for this activity but donations to Models for Heroes are welcome.
Join us for our Glider Week Giveaway! (10th–14th August) for your chance to win tickets to fantastic local attractions.
Each day, an orange glider (pictured) will be hidden somewhere in the Museum. Find it and take it to Reception to claim your prize. Good luck!
Model Helicopter Display
10am – 3pm Wednesday 19th August
All our holiday activities are included with a general admission ticket which gives visitors a free annual pass to the Museum - save money by booking online!
Annual Pass holders, please pre-book a session to avoid disappointment at busy times. The Museum has capacity limits in place to keep our visitors safe. We cannot guarantee admission to the Museum if you visit without having pre-booked a session, even if you hold a valid ticket.
