Daytime talk with Chris Cox

Operation OVERLORD from the Air

10am and 2pm Monday 3rd June

Do you ever wonder how the Allies prepared so secretly and so effectively for the Liberation of Europe at and after the D-Day landings in June 1944? Chris Cox, from Air Photo Services, is a specialist aerial photographic interpreter, who has studied the contemporary aerial perspective on the invasion known as Operation OVERLORD. She will present an interactive illustrated discussion, to show the contribution of the aerial perspective to the understanding of D-Day and its extensive preparations. Chris welcomes you to contribute you own memories, family history or observations from this crucial time in our history.
