Following on from three fabulous sell out years, the Army Flying Museum at Middle Wallop is set to launch its flagship fundraising event bright and early for 2024, with tickets going on sale for Wallop Wheels and Wings on 3 November. The event will take place on 13 July 2024 and with prices fixed until 31 January, early bookers have the chance to make some great savings and get a date in their diaries for a fun day out.
The event in 2024 is set to be bigger and better than ever with a huge array of classic and super cars/bikes to keep motor enthusiasts entertained and a wonderful Concours D ’Elegance showcasing some of the finest cars at the event. If weather permits, visitors can pull up a deckchair and watch an array of fixed wing and rotary aircraft taking to the skies or take a stroll on one of the guided walks and chat to the many pilots flying into the event.
With a wonderful mix of food, drink, and gifts in the trader village there will be plenty for non-enthusiasts to browse throughout the day, along with a wide array of delicious food from the catering village including Mexican and Chinese food and gourmet pasties and burgers, to keep hunger at bay.
Families will have a packed day in store with lots of activities to keep little ones entertained throughout the day. With everything from replica pedal planes to laser tag, inflatables to craft activities, mini tanks to circus skills, there will never be a dull moment.
Older children will also have lots to participate in this year as the Museum stages its first ever STEM zone at the event, with plenty of hands-on activities from Flight Beyond Sight, Rolls-Royce Ltd and RC Vision to get young minds buzzing.
Other attractions will include live music, a forces charity village, living history groups and much more. All full price tickets bought in advance for the event include a free annual pass to the Museum, which is valid from 14 July, however visitors can purchase an add-on ticket to the Museum should they wish to explore on the day.
The Museum are thrilled to announce that Henry Cole, presenter of World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rides, The Motorbike Show and Find it Fix It Flog It has confirmed that he will be flying into the event.
Henry said “I’m more than excited to be part of the Army Flying Museum’s big fundraiser and will be flying into the event with my ex-Military Sioux Bell 47 helicopter.
