In search of the Band of Brothers; Archaeology at Aldbourne

Archaeological excavations by the military veterans of Operation Nightingale at Aldbourne in Wiltshire have revealed the camp site of ‘Easy Company’ of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101 Airborne, US Army; better known as the ‘Band of Brothers’. This talk will explore the site of these paratroopers, the finds made and their links from D-Day to Arnhem. Join Richard Osgood, Senior Archaeologist at the UK Ministry of Defence, in the Museum at 10.30am on Thursday 19th September to find out more.
