The summer holidays are in full flow at the Army Flying Museum, with lots of visitors busy taking advantage of the free weekday craft activities and code breaking trails, but there is still much more in store.

The Museum has several creative trails taking place throughout the summer holidays along with the regular dress up stations, jigsaws, interactive exhibits and of course, the opportunity to sit inside the helicopters within the Museum. 

With their Summer of Flight theme, the Museum turns its attention to its glider collection on the week of 10 August, with a very special visit on Tuesday 11 August from the Portsmouth Naval Gliding Club, who will be giving visitors the opportunity to try out their very special simulator.  One lucky family will also have the chance to win a free family ticket to a local tourist attraction, if they find the golden glider hidden each day within the Museum.

On Tuesday 18 August, the popular model making and painting session is back at the Museum with the team from Models for Heroes and on Tuesday 19 August, visitors will be able to see some very special small-scale helicopters on display.

With the outdoor play park and picnic tables, visitors also have the chance to see some amazing aircraft flying in and out of the historic Middle Wallop airfield.
